We invite you to participate in an expert survey aimed at evaluating the technical reusability of reclaimed steel bridge components.

The objective is to quantify the influence of key technical and logistical criteria on reuse potential and to develop a weighted technical reusability indicator for steel bridges. Economic, financial, and market-related considerations are intentionally excluded, as the focus is solely on the engineering feasibility of reusing structural components.

Depending on your area of expertise, the survey may include questions related to deconstruction. These questions are intended to capture specialized knowledge on methods that enable the preservation and reuse of structural steel components. In particular, they focus on identifying damage mechanisms, critical process parameters, and best practices, thereby supporting an assessment of how deconstruction differs from conventional demolition and its feasibility within a circular construction approach.

The survey takes approximately 30 minutes to complete and will contribute significantly to advancing knowledge on the reuse of steel bridge components. As this topic becomes increasingly important in the transition towards a circular economy, your expertise and insights are highly valued.

We sincerely appreciate your time and effort in supporting this research, which is part of the European project REBRIDGE (https://www.steelconstruct.com/eu-projects/rebridge/). Thank you !
