Designed as a series of separate units, echoing the five artist ateliers on the island opposite, this museum blends subtly into the landscape of fjords. It has two levels and is organised internally into single or double spaces under a vast roof. In particular, the choice of a mixed steel and concrete structure provides a constant internal atmosphere.

Dieses Museum, das aus verschiedenen Einheiten besteht und sich als ein Pendant zu den fünf Künstlerwerkstätten auf der gegenüberliegenden Insel versteht, schmiegt sich lieblich in eine Fjord-Landschaft. Es hat zwei Etagen und ist unter einer großzügigen Bedachung in einfache und doppelte Volumen aufgeteilt. Durch die Wahl einer Verbundstruktur aus Stahl und Beton wird im Inneren ein konstantes Ambiente garantiert.

Conçu en différentes unités, en écho à cinq ateliers d'artistes situés sur l'île d'en face, ce musée s'inscrit avec douceur dans un paysage de fjords. Il s'élève sur deux étages et s'organise à l'intérieur en volumes simples et doubles réunis sous une vaste toiture. Le choix d'une structure mixte en acier et béton permet notamment d'assurer une ambiance intérieure constante.
