This power station appears in the landscape of Utrecht region as an awkward shape recalling an old kiln or an industrial plant. Covering a power station, six chimney-like structures emerge from a solid base. This striking form is emphasized by the selfsupporting steel skin and gives the building a sculptural role in the landscape. The form has become the construction.

Cette centrale thermique se présente dans le paysage de la région d’Utrecht comme une forme insolite qui rappelle la silhouette d’un ancien four à chaux ou d’une installation industrielle. Six structures en forme de cheminées émergent d’une base massive pour couvrir les corps de chauffe. Cette forme étonnante est soulignée par la peau d’acier auto-porteuse qui confère au bâtiment un rôle sculptural dans son environnement. La forme est devenue la construction.

Das Kraftwerk wirkt zunächst wie ein Fremdkörper in der Landschaft Utrechts, der an einen alten Brennofen oder eine alte Industrieanlage erinnert. Sechs schornsteinähnliche Konstruktionen erheben sich über dem Kraftwerk als Grundkörper. Die selbst tragende Stahlhülle unterstreicht die ungewöhnliche Bauform, die wie eine Skulptur in der Landschaft wirkt. In ihr wird die Form zur Konstruktion.
