Delicately raised like a sheet of paper, the plant-like roof of this large university library is supported by a series of thin columns that entirely free up the internal space with its glazed façades. At its centre, an enormous cone supported by oblique metal crutches dominates the composition and allows light to flood into the reading room, while sheltering the four levels of study rooms. Particular attention has been paid to the natural air conditioning of these premises.

Die pflanzliche, einem Blatt Papier ähnelnde Dachkonstruktion dieser großen Universitätsbibliothek wird von einer Reihe schmaler Säulen getragen. Hierdurch kommt der Innenraum mit seinen Glasfassaden erst richtig zur Geltung. In der Mitte ist ein von schrägen Stahlstützen getragener Kegel dominierend. Er lässt den Leseraum im natürlichen Licht erscheinen und spendet in den vier Stockwerken Platz für zahlreiche Arbeitszimmer. Eine ganz besondere Sorgfalt galt der natürlichen Klimatisierung des Gebäudes.

Délicatement soulevée comme une feuille de papier, la toiture végétale de cette grande bibliothèque universitaire est portée par une série de minces colonnes qui dégagent complètement son espace intérieur aux façades vitrées. Au centre un énorme cône porté par des béquilles métalliques obliques domine la composition et apporte de la lumière dans la salle de lecture, tout en abritant quatre niveaux de salles d'étude. Une attention particulière a également été portée à la climatisation naturelle des lieux.
