This spectacular bridge crowned by two steel "butterflies"
offers a new highlight in the city of Rouen. The two movable decks allow
for excellent integration in the daily life of the city.
The straightforward view of the mechanism makes it immediately understandable
to everyone.
The simple elegance of this bridge will enhance the overall view of the
industrial landscape of the river banks.
ECCS Awards for steel bridges Jury comments: This unique mobile
bridge, composed of two moving decks, combines high performance steel
construction, sophistication in the mechanical devices and original method
of erection. It demonstrates the versatility of steel to bring forward
solutions in an urban context and to create a new landmark.
Cet ouvrage spectaculaire couronne par deux "papillons" d'acier offre un nouveau point d'attraction à la ville de Rouen. Les deux tabliers mobiles permettent une excellente integration à la vie quotidienne de la ville. La visibilite du mecanisme de levage le donne à comprendre à tout un chacun. La simple elegance de ce pont enrichit le paysage industriel des rives du fleuve.

verleiht der Stadt Rouen einen neuen Glanzpunkt und fugt sich durch ihre besondere
und sich in ihrer Funktion unmittelbar erschliesende Hebetechnik nahtlos in die
stadtischen Verkehrsablaufe ein.
